What is Occupational Therapy (OT)?

Occupational Therapists help people to regain lost function following illness or as a result of disability.
In the case of work related stress, OT is useful in supporting a workers’ graded return to work – by supporting the emotional, physical and psychological needs involved. This is a process that involves assessment and analysis of the individuals’ needs and provision of an intervention program to comprehensively meet these needs.

Striving to ‘practice what we preach’ and looking for a way to create a comfortable working environment for work colleagues with special needs we approached Awele for impartial advice. Awele came to visit and undertook her assessment for an individual member of staff. She was thorough and detailed in her approach whilst maintaining a calm temperament throughout what could have been an awkward situation for the staff member.

We received a detailed report soon after which generated a wealth of practical ideas of how to make improvements in the short and long term. Gemma, Human Resources

If you would like to book a consultation then email or ring on 07985 440014 or 0845 054 2781. Awele works from beautiful consulting rooms in Angel, Central London and Canary Wharf.
