Resilience: Come hell or high water

Sometimes our hardest times can be the turning point.
I look back at my life and I can see how this rings true.
This blog was inspired by an article I had retained from a couple of years ago – a man’s (Marc Hare) marriage broke up, he was made redundant and broke his leg all in the same week! He describes this week as a ‘catalyst’ – he acknowledges that he felt like ‘ending it all’, however armed with some shoe designs and some industry contacts he put his energies into starting his own men’s shoe wear business (Mr Hare shoes).
determination

I found this story to be inspiring and although the article glosses over the trials and tribulations Marc Hare would have undoubtedly experienced along the way (which in itself is a useful approach to life’s struggles), the fact remains that he chose to find the goodness in an otherwise terrible circumstance – to great effect and success. He has had so much success that he now plans to expand his business over London and Asia!

We can choose to take something however small from this story. It certainly gives me hope.

The above story is one of Resilience in many ways. If you’re interested in exploring ways to nurture your resilience in difficult situations better, then take a look at the following interactive workshop that will be coming up.
